Starting Point: Boat Landing, Periyar Tiger Reserve
Group Size: Max 6 persons per trail (minimum 4 to operate)
Overview:
A short but immersive trek ideal for birdwatchers, butterfly enthusiasts, and nature lovers, guided by an experienced tribal guide. Wander through sandalwood protection areas, listen to the forest’s whispers, and maybe catch a glimpse of wildlife like deer, wild boar, or even an elusive sloth bear.

👥 Minimum 4 participants; if fewer, pay the difference at the Boat Landing counter
🚫 Children below 8 years not allowed

Starting Point: Tribal Trackers Office near Bamboo Grove

Overview:
This trek mirrors the Nature Walk in both terrain and experience. Traverse lush forest trails guided by trained locals who will help interpret the forest’s sounds, signs, and sightings. A calm and conscious way to explore Periyar’s unique ecosystems.
